New & Now: 2022 Collection
ENGL 5520 Poetry Workshop
This class, taught by Utah Poet Laureate Paisley Rekdal, helped me hone my poetry skills and define my favorite genres of writing. I poured elements of surrealism and imaginative narratives into my poetry and out came works of art I didn't know I could create. This workshop focused on revision, which was a difficult but very rewarding process. I have created a world for my poetry, and will continue to expand as I learn more through my own writing, and by consuming as much poetry and art as I can.

ENGL 3520 Writing Poetry
Fall 2021, These are my poems from my first poetry workshop at the University of Utah. I've used the skills that I've learned in this class to revise this collection of poems, and now I present the finished bunch. The poetic voices of the great writers we read, my peers, and my instructor now guide my writing future, and I am so grateful!
ENGL 2500 Into Creative Writing
Summer 2021, This class focused on writing short stories and poetry. This class jumpstarted my interest in writing and I credit that to the instructor and fun classmates. It was after this class that I promised I would carve out time for my writing, and I continue to do so by taking creative writing classes.
